Mamonth tusk import to the USA, Canada, Europe

Greetings!

I deal in decor (house/office), and have requests on mamonth tusks from clients in the USA, Canada and some European countries.

My question is - is it generally legal to import pieces of mamonth tusk to the above mentioned countries? (not big once, small pieced which can fit on a desk/table).

Will be very grateful for any information on this matter!

Thank you, Mark.

Due to the fact that illegal modern Ivory is often mixed in with fossil Ivory in an effort to smuggle it into the country, many states are now banning the sale/trade of fossil ivory.

Please contact the United States Customs and Border Patrol with your question, as getting advice on the internet about international laws is dodgy at best.  ;)
