Peruvian Megalodon tooth?

This one came across and it said it's from Ocacuja Desert, Peru. I just wanted to be sure.

The root preservation is typical of what you see from Peru.  The colors are almost all faded away but there are areas of pinks/oranges/yellows that you see from that area.  Also looks like the tooth was found in two halves and reattached by some odd matrix glue.  Some fill was also added adjacent to the root crown .  I would be concerned that it might come apart and be difficult to reattach nicely..

In the end its pretty difficult to conclusively say this one is Peru and you must rely on your source.   Big teeth are expensive from there but I would opt for a smaller better preserved tooth if I were buying one.
