Lately Natalie is surpassing me on finding cephalopods. It is not every day that we find a Crickites sp. In the field, let alone a well preserved specimen with the living chamber.

So I went to work to prep her precious find:

It was a very promising looking specimen and it lived up to the expectations.

Crickites sp.

Late Devonian ( Frasnian )

Matagne formation

Chimay area ( Belgium )
