digit Posted May 30, 2021 Author Share Posted May 30, 2021 I guess the idea behind using another crab for scale was to show how big this crab is compared to "normal" crabs from the area. To date (I'm still a bit of a newbie) this is my best find, and found in an area where they are quite difficult to come by, especially when contrasted to some of those north Texas localities. Furthermore, this is a different species than the skeleton Austin is known for...the iconic "Onion creek mosasaur" was a Mosasaurus maximus.
