Does this look like a dinosaur bone? Or any kind of bone for that matter? Found in alabama on private property. But near an area where dinosaur bones were discovered. Please help !

I agree, not a bone.

Any bone characteristic would be on the thin broken edge, not on the flats. Looks a bit like schist but don't see mica flakes.

Thank you so much clearly I'm new to looking and finding fossils. I appreciate the feed back. I thought it was just a rock. I did a ton of research which actually made me more confused about it . Thank you

Nothing beats looking at fossils in person. The Museum of Science, in Boston, is geared toward close inspection of beginner level interest. Harvard's Museum of Comparative Zoology   and Yale Peabody, in New Haven, have more extensive  displays.

Unfortunately I don't have time to go there right now. And alot of museums I have contacts aren't open to the public due to corona.. all the ones that do fossil identification I have sent emails and pictures to but no response. But like I did this is the only rock I was confused about. Thank you so much for your feedback

I took another look and it seems like IF it's not a bone the black rock in the middle might be a fossil but if that's the case I think we will need clearer pictures.

The texture does look like bone.

Is this more clear for the texture to rule out whether is it a bone or not?

TFF      This recent post shows the bone side of the issue. I'm afraid this is not bone, but mineral formation which resembles it.
