Looking for help ID'ing this item. From SE Michigan USA

This slab of what appears to be compressed mud came up when digging a basement. Has a lot of pieces of coral and shell. Looking for help with big item (white is color and looks like 3 pieces coming from a central core) in photo.

Colonial rugose coral. It's an impressive example with three distinct polyps. :dinothumb:

Have some more pictures from same slab. Perhaps someone can ID items. I'm thinking about removing some of the surrounding layers to get a better look.

That first coral is really nice. Looks like the Devonian rock that is found in that area. That coral is just itching to be freed from that rock, I can see it breaking out on the edges!  What fun, I’d dig the basement a little deeper - haha!
