slang term for those of us that tend to go to extremes in the interest of exploration, travel, and the like. For example backpacking for a week just to get to a remote fossil site, or traveling ch app and light just to go somewhere new, et cetera

 Well, when I visit the few familiar sites around here, then not. But when I go exploring for new sites I often end up with nix.
