Second time out on the Peace River

Family Fun

Recommended Posts

My second time out to the Peace River, what a glorious peace of land.  The air temp was mid 80s, dew points in the low 60s and water temp was perfect.

My wife of 37 years accompanied me this trip, and yep, she found a complete Meg.  Not huge, but near perfect.

and one photo of the gulf, where we spent 4 fabulous nights last week

Congratulations on your finds.  Looks like you found a good bed of gravel to sift!  I was on the river yesterday and also found some tapir tooth crowns to go along with some turtle/tortoise leg spurs, giant tortoise shell and the usual bag of shark teeth - no megs where I was hunting!

Added a better picture of the Meg, again not big but almost perfect in all ways other than size.

Great report, great finds, looks like a great day.  Congrats to the wife on a real beaut of a meg.  Thanks for the report.

Any meg is a good meg. That's a nice little one with some decent serrations remaining on it. I'd be happy with that one.  :)
