Partial Tooth, Peace River, Florida, What is it?

This little tooth (I think) is missing the crown. Is there enough of it remaining to ID what it is? Or is this some weird partial fragment of mammoth tooth or something like that?

 

Found in the northern Peace River, Florida.

I have come across a few like this and after much searching have had to put them into the mammoth chip category.  I haven't been able to find an other match.

The bottom part doesn't look quite right for mammoth/mastodon fragment. I've found a lot of those and this one seemed a bit different, but the texture on the "root" does remind me of mammoth, even if the shape doesn't.
