Part of an ankle or knee, partial vert, or ? - Peace River, FL

Bone Daddy

Recommended Posts

This is another one that has me stumped. At first glance, it was chunkosaurus. On closer examination, it has some curvature and features that might help identification. Does anyone know what this is? The last time I found something roughly similar to this, it turned out to be part of a horse knee or something like that.

Found in the Peace River, Bone Valley, DeSoto County, FL.

Thanks!

Going back through my box of oddball specimens that defy easy ID. I forgot about this one until I ran across it today.

Does anyone want to take a crack at this one now?

I have one very similar that I have not had any luck identifying either.  It went into the miscellaneous bone box.

Thanks. I appreciate you guys taking another look at it. I'm gonna toss it in the oddball/freebie box. Some kid or teacher will end up with it in a box of bones and teeth. Maybe they'll find something useful to do with it.  :)
