aasandy
Hello I found this piece of sandstone along the Athabasca river just south of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada. Since it’s sandstone I’m assuming it came from either the Mcmurray (late barremian or early Aptian) or Grandrapids (Albian) formation although my geology skills are not great. I tried to do some googling on what it could be but I found no results since I couldn’t be specific enough since I don’t really know what I’m doing. Any ideas? I attached an image of the location for fun that I took a while before I found the rock. I found it to the right of the creek thanks
Fossildude19
This looks like some trace fossils. Maybe something like Planolites? 2 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." Rockwood
It's likely that tunnel would be closer that track. Figuring out just what type of creature made them in what manner is not a simple task however.
Moth Queen
Some sort of worm trail! I've seen them in many places in Alberta.

A point moving through space is a line however. The creatures need not have been worms, or worm shaped. It's something that needs to be determined by available evidence if possible.
