Hi, after a recent walk on the south Downs, Devils dyke near Brighton I found what seems to be a bone or claw? unsure. It feels like a bone and shaped like a claw, Some photos attached if anyone knows what it is. Thanks

Welcome to the Forum.  :)

Looks like a flint nodule, to me.

Not seeing any bone texture.

Hi, and thanks. Seems to be porous I washed it and it soaked up all the water has a bone like structure and feel to it. Will post a clearer photo soon.

I agree with Tim, not seeing a fossil here. Many weathered rocks become quite porous and superficially resemble bone structure. Weathered chert like Tim mentioned can end up like this, as can limestone, both of which are known to form such odd shapes.
