tubular ridged fossil?

As the hammer in the picture shows, it is about 10 inches long. Thanks for any help. So regular no sure if it was organic matter, but is now limestone.

I'm on the fence about this one.  Both crinoid stem and a nautiloid such as Dawsonoceras seem possible.  Can we get a sharply focused close-up, and also perhaps dampen the fossil with water (just damp, not so wet as to cause light reflections).  If it is a crinoid stem there should be divisions between segments that have the ridges in the center.  If it is a nautiloid there should be suture lines (though they may not be obvious depending on the preservation) but they may be offset from the ridges.

It is looking more nautiloid-ic at this point as I cannot make out any of what would be crinoid columnal separations in the closeup image. :headscratch:
