DLowe69
I had posted pics of my latest (May 23) find earlier - as it looked when I found it - but here are the updated pics now that it has been prepped (thanks Malcolm). It is just under 3 1/2 inches long, and is fully inflated. There is some damage to the pygidium that I saw when I found it, but the remainder of the trilobite is very well preserved. I especially like that both genal spines are fully intact, one eye is undamaged, and it also looks like this trilobite was struck between the eyes with something while it was still alive...

DLowe69
Thanks everyone. I am very happy with it, of course. Now, to find the next one. I don't really know what I am doing, but I am persistent...
erose
Despite the crunching looks very complete. Cool fossil. Is this Isotelus gigas?
DLowe69
I know it is Isotelus, but opinions seem to vary on whether it is Gigas or Maximus. I don't know how to tell the difference, and both may be at my location. A pic of another well-preserved Isotelus that I found last fall is attached (also 'touched up' by Malcolm, but it was pretty much as you see it when I first found it).
FossilNerd
Awesome trilobite and prep work. DLowe69
I should have also mentioned that while my trilobites have been prepped, there was no restoration at all done to them. I want them to remain in the condition that I found them in, just more exposed so they can be seen better...
