HuntingtownHunter
Live in Southern Maryland. Found this in creek feeding to the Patuxent River. Have no idea if it’s a plant or tooth or tusk of some kind. Also have found many Miocene shark teeth, a wild boar skull from the 1500s, and arrow heads. Thanks for the help
Fossildude19
Looks like a tooth, but we need pictures of both ends to make an accurate ID. I’m curious how you know your boar skull is from the 1500s and not some other century?
HuntingtownHunter
Well the boar skull my neighbor also found. The time period was a best guess from the Calvert Marine Museum. 1500-1600. But just a guess. Might be from another time period.

Harry Pristis
It's a Sus scrofa incisor, I believe -- a domestic pig. http://pristis.wix.com/the-demijohn-page What seest thou else In the dark backward and abysm of time? ---Shakespeare, The Tempest
