Tyrannosaurus tooth?

I found this tooth that is claimed to be a tyrannosaurus tooth it has a bit of restoration but am not sure if it's specifically a tyrannosaurus tooth so what do you all think?

@Troodon  is going to want to know the provenance of the fossil.

 

What state, county, formation.

It says it's from Judith River Formation of Hill County, Montana.

Sorry late response out digging for dinos. 

 

It's a Tyrannosaurid tooth but beyond that it's indeterminate what species it is.  This is indeed a Judith River Fm. tooth and Tyrannosaurus is only found in younger deposits like those in the Hell Creek/Lance Formations. 

The tooth is not in the best shape, the resto fill probably did more harm than good it's pretty bad.

What do you think about this tyrannosaurus rex tooth is it specifically a tyrannosaurus rex or a different tyrannosaurus?

Looks like a tip of one but the locality is not specific enough to determine if its from the Hell Creek. Need at least county where it was found.

Well that's a problem, then ask the seller.  Provenance is extremely important when identifying Tyrannosaurid material from Montana.

Hello sorry If this is getting annoying but I found another tyrannosaurus rex tooth but this time I got provenance Hell Creek Formation of Carter County, Montana.
