Diplocaulus
I bought this trilobite from a small rock shop many years ago, and completely forgot about it until i opened up some old boxes in my house. No idea what kind of trilo it is, or if its even real or not. Can anyone ID this little guy?
Top Trilo
Can you take more photos its a little hard to see but may be a Gerastos trilobite. And from this image it looks either fake or poorly prepped. 3 “If fossils are not "boggling" your mind then you are simply not doing it right” -Ken (digit) "No fossil is garbage, it´s just not completely preserved” -Franz (FranzBernhard) "With hammer in hand, the open horizon of time, and dear friends by my side, what can we not accomplish together?" -Kane (Kane) "We are in a way conquering time, reuniting members of a long lost family" -Quincy (Opabinia Blues) "I loved reading the trip reports, I loved the sharing, I loved the educational aspect, I loved the humor. Kane
I agree: either fake or poor prep + restoration, and that we'll need a better photo. Judging by the shape, it is likely a Gerastos sp. from Morocco, Devonian), or a replica thereof. Malcolmt
Agree looks like a very poorly prepared gerastos. Not really worth enough to warrant faking or restoring

Diplocaulus
Thanks for all of the answers! I'm a little disappointed at how marked up it was, but at least it's real!
