Rabbit
My son found this on the beach in Lewes, Delaware. It is a little over 1.5 cm long and 1 cm both wide and deep. Maybe it's a cool rock but it sort of seems shell like on the side. Appreciate any help!
Ludwigia
This is an extremely waterworn coral. 4 Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Roger http://www.steinkern.de/
Rabbit
Thank you! Would it be possible to estimate how old it might be?

Best can be said is that it is Paleozoic (older than 225 million). Brought down to the ocean from the Appalachians by the DE River. I have family vacationing in Lewes this week. Like you and I, they're beachcombers too. You probably passed each other with your heads down, LOL 'Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.' Rabbit
Oh, very nice. I hope they had some finds too. My 9 year old son found this piece and he's super thrilled to share it with his class this week We really appreciate the info. We have lots of books about fossils but no experience. Really enjoying our new family hobby
