jtangandgorditi1994
Frequently see pet hardwood along the San Jacinto river West Fork. This piece does not have the normal shape or tracheid/ray pattern of wood. I don’t recognize the ridges and I see small consistent pores at several faces. The wide depression in the middle reminds me of a Proboscidea tooth. From the right angle, it appears there may have been symmetry to either side. Any feedback appreciated. Thank you all! Rockwood
Remember that stump in the lawn that you thought the mower should clear now that it's pretty well rotted down ? I think it's something like that only petrified.
jtangandgorditi1994
Rockwood, thanks for the reply. I’m so used to seeing pieces and fragments. It does look like a stump/trunk.
