Hello all, I'm a long time lurker on the forum and a new member! I recently went on a trip to the Mazonia-Braidwood State Fish and Wildlife Area for the first time and am hoping for some assistance/confirmation on my IDs.

1. An imprint of some species of Pecopteris.

2. I'm fairly confident this is a partial Essexella adhere

3. Possibly also an Essexella asherae, but I suspect it also may be wishful thinking

Thanks in advance for any assistance! I've got a few small nodules going through a freeze/thaw cycle now, so fingers crossed I'll have some more luck.

Welcome to the forum.

1. Seems that way. Venation is key to ID on these so on specimens that don't show the venation like this one it's not possible to ID further. Lobatopteris (Pecopteris) lemuriana is the most common Pecopteris type but again, venation is needed for a definitive ID.

2. I agree, Essexella.

3. I'm not seeing a jelly here, this one looks like a blank concretion to me.
