himmelangst
Could this be a fossil or a body fossil? The white powdery mineral sticks to wet fingers and the black rock underneath looks kind of segmented and symmetrical. But lumpy. It looks like it has a stem or neck with a flat bottom. Found in western pa. About 1.25” x .75” fairly heavy, dark and dense mineral underneath about a 5 mohs hardness. I know it’s probably nothing but worth a shot. Thank you! hadrosauridae
Sorry, just a rock. 1 "There is no shortage of fossils. There is only a shortage of paleontologists to study them." - Larry Martin
Rockwood
I'd like to call it an arthropod, something like a crab or lobster in concretion. I have to agree that it isn't at all clear however.
Ludwigia
You are right. IMHO it's nothing. Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Roger http://www.steinkern.de/
