Dino tooth?

So I went to the beach, to find this tooth looking fossil. I am unsure on whether it is anything special and need to know just in case here is a pic. of it

Doesn't really match the morphology of a tooth. It's difficult to say what it is from these pictures though. Try taking some pictures of the specimen against a solid background, on the ground (not in hand), with multiple light sources.

To me, it looks like a fragment of a thin, ribbed ammonite cast, showing the ribs on both sides.  

 

It helps to mention a general location in an ID request.
