Strange fossil found in Peace River, Florida.

This fossil is about an inch long and is quite thin. It reminds me of a pelvis bone. Thanks :)

First,  Welcome to the Fossil Forum , glad to have you here.

I have hunted the Peace river for 13 years,  so I have seen a lot of what it can offer.

 

As I was typing,  @Al Dente,  posted a response. Ditto to what he said. Looks like shell material , very worn

Thats why you often have to think of marine life forms first. I was puzzled about one piece of fossil for years until it turn out to be a large piece of barnacle.
