gigantoraptor
Hello all This fossil fish is from an old collection. I think it might be Paraelops sp. from the Santana formation in Brazil, but I'm not certain. I'm also not entirely sure if it's completely original. Anyone who has an idea what species this is, what location it comes from and most importantly, is it real? Thanks in advance
Fossildude19
Looks more like a Brannerion sp., to me. @oilshale 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." Do you have any ideas regarding authenticity? I don't really have a reason to suspect forged parts.
Fossildude19
I think the nodule has been carved/ground down to look more fish-like. 1 1 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks."
