Unknown Teeth from Peace River, Florida

I have two unknown fossils one being a tooth and the other I believe is a ray mouthplate/jaw bone. Sorry about the photo quality on the mouth plate it had a strange shape. Thanks :)

So the thing I thought was a tooth was actually a astragalus but I'm still not 100% sure if the other is a ray mouth plate or not.

Hi,

The first fossil is not an astragalus. See here for an example https://science.mnhn.fr/institution/mnhn/collection/f/item/pik1695

About the second fossil, no ray dental plate either : no enamel, it makes me think more of a part of this shell.

Sorry, in paleontology, nature often plays with us ! :)

I agree with a part of shell for the second one.

Thanks you tons! I would've never figured it out. This was a great learning moment for me :). Do you know what kind of shell the second fossil could've belonged to? Or is it too mangled?

In the second to the last image, the structure seems to include a stack of ossicles from a starfish.

Ah that would make sense, some of the pictures of prehistoric starfish do match the structure. Thank you! :)
