Joe_17
Ill be working on a pretty big fossil and wanted to know any differences between paraloid b - 72 and paleo bond stabilizer . I've used paranoid on a few things but have no experience with paleobond stabilizer. Are they used the same ? Does paleo bond need any mixing ? Thomas.Dodson
I've always used paraloid b-72 but after recently reading that PB4417 will set on moist fossils (paraloid b-72 will not) I bought some for field consolidant use. No mixing required. I'll let others answer about any other differences as I haven't really had time to try it much yet. 1
Troodon
Here is a article that discusses the two types of adhesives reactive (paleobond types) and solutions types (B72). Reminder there are several types of Paleobond all for different applications. Check their webpage to see the difference. I use primarily PB4417 in the field but sometimes PB2 http://preparation.paleo.amnh.org/48/solution-reactive-adhesives 3
