It's been a while since I posted my last fossil sketch since I've been practicing on other subjects like trees and flowers. But I've just returned to my original passion and have chosen to try to duplicate an Actinostreon marshii oyster. These guys make for interesting models because of their bizarre shapes. In German they are nicknamed Kamm-Muscheln, because they remind us of a rooster's comb.
