Caroboneferous
I found this fossil with a bunch of Carboniferous fossils in on the Missouri River near Kansas City. I’m curious to see what it is? Looks like a plant, but I’m not sure, any ideas? The whole thing is 2.5-3 inches long.
Rockwood
I'd call it a root trace.

Rockwood
I just realized that many of those plants sort of blurred the lines between roots and stems. I don't think it need be subsurface as might be thought.

Rockwood
I've read that things like this have been found which seem to indicate that a nearby tree was climbed by a vine like plant. If you could find a stump ?
