I recently purchased a spinosaurus tooth from a website which claim the tooth is genuine. I was hoping if any of you guys could confirm it’d be much appreciated:)

Welcome to TFF from Austria!

)First: Please remove the name of the website! Many thanks!) Edit: website removed, thank you!

Second: Origin, origin, origin: Formation and/or site!

Third: Real, but repaired. Something has been smeared around the gaps to make the repairs (broken tooth glued back together) less obvious. I don´t know what happened to the tip, is that a natural deposit or something to hide a missing or butchered tip? At least it seems to be the same material as smeared around the breaks.

Fourth: No idea to which animal it belonged, I am just a seashell hunter ;).

Looks like a big croc tooth, not a Spinosaurid.    If from Kem Kem probably Elosuchus.  Its been poorly reattached in several places.  Matrix used to cover broken areas including tip.

For your sake verify ID's before purchases
