Real amber? Suspicious under black light?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Purchased this Baltic Amber from Lithuania.   Tried the black light test and the very clear amber turns opaque cream like color.  Please see pics. Is this possibly fake?

Thanks!

Thats actually perfect. Just what you want to see! That’s real amber! Congratulations!

Opaque cream, or with a reddish tinge or blue or green…. There’s lots of different tinges is can turn but your pictures look correct to me.

Oh boy am I happy to hear that...  thanks for taking a look and the feedback. I bought 3 pieces in total and they seemed so clear with multiple inclusions that I was worried they might be fake. All 3 do have that cloudy/creamy like look in UV.   Thanks again.

The result of the test seems exactly same as mine, which is a real one.

Huge, nice amber!

:look: I have some Baltic amber & that is how the clear pieces fluoresce under UV light. Genuine.

Accomplishing the impossible means only that the boss will add it to your regular duties.
