Is this a fossil? Rock from Aquia formation in MD

This is another rock from the same place I found the bryozoan fossil a few days ago (Kent County MD). The structure looks like it had some sort of biological origin but I can’t make heads or tails of it. It looks a bit like a honeycomb.

Yes, they are Palaeozoic, but that's what it looks like to me. The specimen looks rolled, so may be from an older formation.

Thanks, that could definitely be the case. I’m sorry if my response came off as rude or abrasive as well.

It didn't. You're fine. :)

Anyway, I may be wrong, so let's see what others who know the area a bit better have to say.

I'm also thinking Favositid tabulate coral. In the right conditions fossils can travel quite a bit. Louisiana gravel fossils are a good example of this. For other examples, I find Devonian fossils brought down from Canada here often. In Illinois river gravels I often found fauna not characteristic of current strata in Illinois. Most of them likely came from Wisconsin and Michigan.
