Fossil Fish Identification Help

Mantelliceras

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone!

My friend found this fish in her collection and we have no clue what kind of fish it is. Is there any fish experts in this forum that can help us with the identification? I,m afraid we cannot provide any accurate information on the age and procedence.

Many thanks in advance!

Kind regards,
Andrés

This may be a fish from Brazil.

My first thought was Tharrias araripes.

Wait for some other opinions, though.

How does someone "find a fish" in their collection?  They didn't know it was there before?
