Very busy at the moment But found some time to write this up  this is a trip around the same time as the other trips (July) to shanklin on the Isle of Wight. This site is known for greensand molluscs and dinosaurs . The brachiopods come from the aptian old walpen chine member of the ferruginous sands of the lower greensand 

Let’s start with the brachiopods   thanks to @Tidgy's Dad for the IDs  

1. The most common brachiopod, Rhynchonella parvirostris

2. Sellithyris sella

3.Terebratula elongata?

4. Ornithella Sp.

5. Gemmarcula sp. ?

6. Cyclothyris latissima

7. Oysters, 

8.. the block I got most of these from, kept one large chunk in case there is scientific value  if anyone wants to trade for it let me know  

9. now for beach finds, wood

 

10. Hoplitid Ammonite structures 

11. there were ironstone nodules around that produced interesting steinkerns 

I found two large oysters on the beach as well but can’t find them atm  hope you enjoyed!

Moving onto Yaverland, I will sort of count this as 2 separate localities as the two different formations I hunted are very different  let’s start with the barremian wessex formation, renowned for its dinosaur remains. I hunted here twice over the summer, on the first trip I found only bone fragments but on my second trip, I found 4 teeth!

Awesome plesiosaurian (sensu lato) teeth, WIll! I should definitely make my way back to the IoW at some point to try and find some of these amazing teeth myself!
