ID plant fossil found on beach

First time poster. Found these on a Canadian Beach on the east coast and they all seem to be from the same plant. They all have a very distinct triangular ridge on the side. Included photo is from the pieces with the best defined ridge.

Petrified Wood can be hard to id. I think you might be referring to New Brunswick/Nova Scotia which is usually Paleozoic but scattered Mesozoic deposits occurs.

I don't think these are petrified wood but instead some kind of bedded mineral along the lines of gypsum. In some environments it is pretty common to find this pattern. Although I don't remember what mineral it is there is a similar one common in the North Sulphur River.
