minnbuckeye Posted August 7, 2021 Share Posted August 7, 2021 (edited) Here is a post prep picture of Platycrinites found on a early July fossil hunt in SE Iowa (see previous trip report). These crinoids have a columnar stem with a twisted pattern, making them very interesting. My daughter can't look at it without thinking tapeworm.
