Blue Beach, Nova Scotia - Small Fossil, Almost Looks Furry

Hi there.  I found this on Blue Beach, Nova Scotia.  It was loose on the edge of the cobble area near the water.  Thanks for your help with this.

Looks like a burrowing or resting trace fossil.

It looks a bit like a Rusophycus, a trilobite resting trace, but I'm not very confident that that is the correct ID.  @mstimson29 is a researcher who is very familiar with ichnofossils (trace fossils) from Nova Scotia.  @redleaf101 is also familiar with the area.

I know you mentioned in your other thread that you collect by camera only.  I assume the same here.  People should know that it is illegal to collect fossils in Nova Scotia without a permit.

I agree, it looks like an unusual variant of Rusophycus.

Everything I saw is at the beach.  I only used paper for smaller rocks after I rinsed them off & dried them. Thought they would be easier to see with a white background.  I wasn't sure of the rules, so I left them.
