wyldewastelander
Loose on the cobble at Blue Beach, Nova Scotia. I believe this is a trace fossil. Just wondering if anyone can recommend some resources on how to interpret trace fossils? Thanks for your help with this.
Mainefossils
That is really interesting. I look forward to hear other people's views on this specimen. Just wondering, would you happen to know the formation that this is from? And some scale often helps... Regards, Asher The more I learn, the more I find that I know nothing. Rockwood
It doesn't strike me as looking like a trace. Poorly preserved plant material is what I sense. I have low confidence in the ID however.
wyldewastelander
Hi there. I'm not really sure what formation this is from - it was just found in the rocks closer to the mudflats/water. In terms of scale, I didn't have anything to measure that day except my hands - pinky nail is about 1 cm.
