This was recovered in South-west Montana with many other strange artifacts that have carvings of what apear to be animals either being killed or objects falling from the sky. Please look very close at the carvings or rather scrathcings they are very old obviously and can be hard to see.

I see bedding planes, erosion marks, natural dints and scrapes and a bit of a mineral in the last photo.

I agree.  This rock exhibits natural fracturing and wear based on the crystal structure of its predominant minerals.

I also agree that this is a natural rock with no evidence that it has been shaped or is an artifact.

Thank you all for your replies, could I ask one more question regarding some (what i assume is kimberlite with diamond and sapphire or garnets... any thougts? apologies i realize this is a fossil form

Kimberlite is usually dark colored and lacks quartz. Your rock looks like it is mostly quartz.
