minnbuckeye
Last week, some fossils were collected from the Elgin member of the Maquoketa/Ordovician of NE Iowa. A few of my unidentifiable ones are posted here today for you to look at. 1. The first one was a cephalopod mold that upon closer look at home had these 2 "things" stuck to it. I have not come across these before. 2. Next is a partial trilobite that I initially thought was Anatophorus. But after some cleaning , I am uncertain how to label it. It appears to be crushed.
minnbuckeye
I did some more research on Maquoketa and am suspicious item 1 is a brachiopod called Crania. Your thoughts?
Tidgy's Dad
Yes, they look like craniids to me. Crania was around at this time, but I don't know the species found here. They are beautiful. 1 Life's Good! Tortoise Friend.

Tidgy's Dad
Some of the species from the Ordovician have now been placed in Acanthocrania. 1 Life's Good! Tortoise Friend.
connorp
Kind of look like Philhedra to me. Never heard of them in the Maquoketa, but I believe the Maquoketa is Richmondian in age, and Philhedra along with other craniids are very abundant in the Richmondian of the Cincinnati-area. 1
