Huh. Blastoid was my first impression as well. The preservation is weird though, unlike any blastoids I've seen. Whatever it is, I think it is geodized.

It reminds me of a Pennsylvania aged seed pod. Something along the lines of Trigonocarpus.

You might want to just try soaking it in water. I've been fooled by modern caterpillar poop that looked a bit like this.
