This is a pretty big deal for my Egyptian colleagues: the fossil was discovered and prepared by Egyptians and the research team led by Egyptians, with help from foreigners; usually, it's the other way around: this is a big step forward in establishing their first "in situ" vert paleo research program in the country (Mansoura University Vertebrate Paleontology lab).
