JSERTL
So far the dimensions of what's showing is 15.2mmx6mmx1.5mm & it's starting to curve back into the rock. With no sign of the end yet. I'm taking my time & investigating the piece after every couple scrapes. Whatever it is, it's not as hard as the surrounding material. I'm going to wait till I get a response before I do anymore. Just in case any of you think I should turn it over to a professional so I don't screw up whatever it is.
Tidgy's Dad
It ma be a fossil. it may be a rock. I don't think anyone could give you a definite answer. "I don't know" is cool in science. 1 Life's Good! Tortoise Friend.

Paleorunner
It would be necessary to deepen in the cleaning, to be able to know what it is. Sorry for editing it so much, but the translator did not express well what he wanted to say. Edited August 28, 2021 by Paleorunner
Ludwigia
It may also help to have a higher resolution photo and a precise description of stratigraphy and site. Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Roger http://www.steinkern.de/
