Is this sauropod caudal vertebrae?

Hello everyone!

There is one local report this for me and send me those pictures. For me the picture is not good enough but I can not do any things better due to the covid situation in my country so imposible for me to go there and check.

It look like bone in sandstone matrix and the island is dating from early Cretaceous. No report of dinosaur before in Vietnam so if it dinosaur, it could be a good news. This formation they have found petrified wood and amber. Near this island but from Cambodia, they just found a leg bone from the island of Koh Kong that belong to the Phuwiangosaurus since last April.

So can you help me to have a look about it?

Thank you

Very difficult for me to say what they are given the preservation abd how they sit in the matrix.  You are looking at the dorsal side without any of the spines.  They dont look like Phuwiangosaurus caudals.

But do you think this is could be Dinosaur Fossil?

Could be,  but I am completely unfamiliar with that area and even if you are looking at early Cretaceous deposits as claimed.   It really needs a local paleontologist to determine what you have

I found this in a publication on Vietnam. Its rough and simplified but gives us some clues.   #3 are Jurassic to Cretaceous exposures.  Not seeing many.

Thank you!

For me about this Im very certain that the island have Creataceous formation. I’m just not sure if it dinosaur or petrified wood because they used to find petrified wood before in here.

Another reason for wood is the second picture, it widens on the right side in what looks like part of the trunk of a tree, looks different than any dinosaur bone I've seen.

Took another look,  this canal looks to wide and long to be a neural canal of a vertebrae

Dear guys!

Thank you for interesting in this thread. Because these are photos taken by local so they don't know how to take a good picture instead. My city have been lookdown for 1 month and now the sistuation very that I can't going to check.

This is a sauropod leg bone found by my Cambodian friend that I give him the ID that from dinosaur because I'm doing master stud about mammals and this kind seems doesn't match to any mammals. Then later another old French expert that give the ID that cf.Phuwiangosaurus. This island not so far away from this place, same formation. And can link with Sao Khue from Thailand.

Here is the photo that took by my friend so it much be better.

Koh Kong island - Cambodia. This is the first dinosaur in Cambodia. My country still waiting!
