Help identifying

Found this rock that's smaller than a dime this evening outside my house. Noticed it looked like worms in there. Information if it's a fossil, and if so, other information greatly appreciated

Could be worm tubes, it isn't the only possibility though. Can you give us a little context from the site it was found ?

The area is heavy with iron ore and hematite. It's my property in east texas. It was in with gravel loose gravel.

The source of the gravel is the direction to look for clues.

They also look like galleries of worms to me.

Okay, well this has helped so much. These whitish rocks are mixed in everywhere with all the red ones. I'll start paying closer attention.
