Ludwigia
It's been a while since I set pencil to paper, but I felt the urge a few days ago to try to duplicate one of my favorite ammonite groups in the collection. It's a grouping of 4 Grammoceras thouarsense ammonites found a few years ago in Évrecy, Normandy, France. And here's the original photo I copied it from. 6 Greetings from the Lake of Constance. ChristineR
Beautifully drawn grouping. Are these ammonites in your collection? I can not imagine the preparation.

I can not imagine the preparation. Thank you. Yes they are, as mentioned above in the introduction. The preparation was not all that difficult, since they came out of the exposure more or less the way they are, which was quite a lucky split. The matrix was also relatively soft and easy to remove.
