Gareth_ Posted September 20, 2021 Share Posted September 20, 2021 Ah I remember seeing something in the news about this some time ago. That is a very large bird indeed! It makes you wonder what animals never fossilised therefore we will never know about.... or what is fossilised but we will never know about it due to inaccessibility. Also.... New Zealand. Home to absolutely no scary animals, ever. No deadly arachnids, reptiles, mammals or insects and a bunch of birds that can't even fly. The scariest fish is the occasional shark and the Barracouta (Thyrsites atun) I did see a terrifying Skink (about 3" long) this afternoon haha.
