Anyone knows what species is this fish?

I am collecting Lebanese fish fossils, but I don’t know what species it is. Does anyone know?

A guess based on skull shape and long narrow body is an eel. Pipefish? An expert such as @oilshale will be more authorative.

No, the fish in that post is an eel.

This is a different fish.

 

What is the size of the fish?

Can we get better pictures in this orientation?

The size of the fossils is important for good determination. For your future photos, I suggest you read my last link in my signature. If you don’t have a ruler, you can print out the paper provided for this and put your fossils on it to give their size
