Denis Arcand
I found the following Teeny-weeny fossil, among this colony of brachiopods. We can see many similar fragments all having the same size. I posted pictures of some of the best fragments. Found it in Nicolet River Formation near Montreal, Quebec. For me it looks like, maybe, a fragment of conularid, but I wasn't able to find anything exactly like it on the internet. Does somebody know what this is? One fossil a day will keep you happy all day. Welcome to the FOSSIL ART

Notice the fossils had gone through some nasty weathering as most brachiopods lost their tops.

With the name you gave me, I was able to find the following link, the pattern closely resembles the one on the pictures found http://www.geofair.com/weird_pics.htm Do you know where I can find more information on rhombiferan? I wonder how rare theses fragment that I found could be an if they have a scientific value? One fossil a day will keep you happy all day. Denis Arcand
I did an images comparison of the images, and I think it a match, although the images are not very clear we can clearly see that they have similar patterns. The image on the left is a Glyptocystitid Rhombiferan the images on the right is my tinny-wenny fossil. One fossil a day will keep you happy all day.
