Buffalo tooth or cow tooth?

This tooth was found in a creek in Washington county, MO. Can someone verify if this is a buffalo or cow tooth.

No, not with high confidence.  My guess is that this is bos, rather than bison -- a left M1.  I base my guess on preservation, size, and the smooth enamel (bison enamel typically has shallow crenulations).
