Could this tiny shell inside a tiny bottle be a fossil?

So, the part of creek this came from is composed of QT, QAL, and antique glass it seems. There are plenty of fossils too,  when I washed out sand from this bottle the little shell was left, and I have tried to get it out but afraid of breaking it.  All the recent shells in this creek are from Asian clams and mussels, from what I can tell this looks more like oyster shape.  Got the best pictures possible through the pitted glass,  so could this be a fossil?

What ever caused the hole may have distorted the shape of an Asian clam. This could be a tough one to call with the size and imposed confinement involved.

It would be a cool find though. I hope someone knows.

I can’t help you, but these bottles are so small! What could they be used for ?

I'll bet the shell will fall out if gently manipulated with toothpick.

Yes I thought the same thing, but no, I tried toothpick, toothpick with gum on it, rolled up piece of tape, and filling with soapy water and shaking it out.  My tweezers are too large to fit in and open, so in the bottle it stays.  :)Appreciate all the input!

The bottle must function as a concave lens. Shells seen through the sides appear smaller than they are.
